Sharing and receiving honest communication and feedback without criticism and defensiveness is an ever evolving art form. We can only offer and receive the love and connection we desire to the capacity that we are able to feel it for ourselves. Developing intimacy with yourself opens the door to deepening all relationships, whether it is with family, friends, romantic partners, work partners, the natural world.
Intimacy can also be incredibly scary. Opening ourselves to connection is a vulnerable act. We must open our energy system to give and receive, like an ocean wave coming in and out to sea. Learning to do this with agency, safety, intention and boundaries is key to intimate connection.

Years ago I was challenged with a health issue that doctors didn't understand. They scratched their heads and sent me home. I learned quickly that although modern medicine is amazing in so many ways, it simply doesn't understand how to work well with mismanaged energy in the body. I spent 6 months in bed learning how to heal myself.
When I shifted the energy in my body, healing came.
But I had to block out people's opinions, change my perspectives and basically ban myself from googling anything.

Utilizing my Master's Degree in Consciousness Studies and Transpersonal Psychology and training in Internal Family Systems, Circle Processing, HeartMath/Mindful Neural Reprogramming, Intimacy and Non Violent Communication and
Expressive Arts Healing, I meet clients on their path to deeper emotional, spiritual and somatic understanding.
Internal family systems
This model allows the client to be Self led. Self leadership is an internal shift where clients develop an understanding of their own reactions, beliefs and emotions that may be keeping them stuck in self limiting experiences from a deeper internal space.
Clients feel more confident, empathetic and compassionate towards the parts of themselves that are "acting out" and in turn can create change from the inside out.
With this self leadership comes greater possibility for real change, success in goal achievement, stronger interpersonal relationships and perspective taking.
This method facilitates deep listening in teams/ groups. Practice involves holding space for multiple ways of thinking that can often trigger or create reactions. By engaging in this practice groups witness an internal softening and unifying experience. It is often used for healing and transformation in restorative justice initiatives and can be found in practice in work place communities and family systems experiencing conflict.
Mindful Neural Reprogramming
Clients become deeply aware of thinking patterns and internal dialogue. Our subconscious minds generate the programming in which we live. We may think we are acting from our conscious awareness, but most of the time we are working from old programming that is running the show.
It is almost impossible to change our behavior unless we become aware of our neural programming.
Intimacy & Non Violent Communication
Clients learn skill sets to identify and express one's needs and listen more deeply to hear other's needs so that communication feels safe and productive. Without the expression of needs we often can become resentful or withdrawn. Or we may express our needs in a demanding way so that other's can't hear our requests.
Expressing needs can feel intimidating or frustrating.
